Incyte Arc Expert Details

Hamilton’s  Incyte Arc sensors enable real-time, in-situ measurement of viable cells. The measurement is not influenced by changes in the media, microcarriers, dead cells, or debris.

Permittivity is quickly becoming the industry standard for the measurement of viable cell volume because of its robust real-time data. It correlates well to off-line cell counting in the crucial exponential phase without the risk of counting errors. Incyte Arc sensors provide a real-time measurement of viable cell density with continuous permittivity data.

Offline samples only provide limited, error-prone data points, so process events may be missed. Real-time permittivity reveals changes in cell physiology, so advanced process control can be automatically triggered for process optimization.

Common applications Cell Biology, Cell Culture, Pharma & Biopharma, Bioprocess Upstream, Biotechnology

Compare permittivity data to ensure batch-to-batch and scale-up reproducibility.

Gain process insights such as cell physiology changes with permittivity measurement.

Time key process events for lower cost, increased yield, & enhanced product quality.

Viable Cell Density Soft Sensor

AADM calculates real time viable cell density that correlates to off-line measurement and closes all gaps between the measuring points.

Easy Transmitter-less

  • Hamilton Arc technology enables seamless integration to a control system, PLC, or DCS without a bulky transmitter.
  • Leverage the Arc platform to perform maintenance and configuration with ArcAir™ software.

  • The difference in measurement resolution between the off-line method and permittivity is like between a 60's TV and an 8K screen!

We used the Incyte Arc Sensor to monitor the viable cell density. It is very easy to install in a bioreactor and connect to the monitoring software. After performing a baseline calibration in medium, you are ready to monitor your bioreactor run.
