Oxysens is an electrochemical dissolved oxygen (DO) sensor specifically designed for water monitoring applications such as wastewater treatment, swimming pools, fish farms, and algae ponds. Building on Hamilton's proven electrochemical DO sensor technology, Oxysens provides reliable dissolved oxygen measurements while offering a simple, economical, and maintenance-free solution for routine process monitoring.

The sensor features a non-replaceable membrane and electrolyte, eliminating the need for routine membrane or electrolyte replacement throughout its service life. This maintenance-free design reduces operating costs, simplifies sensor handling, and minimizes maintenance effort.

Oxysens delivers fast response times and provides measurements that are largely independent of flow conditions and insensitive to soiling. These characteristics ensure reliable dissolved oxygen monitoring even in demanding water treatment applications.

When should I replace the membrane and electrolyte in my polarographic DO sensor?

The frequency of membrane and electrolyte replacement is process specific and will vary. Routine calibration before each run can identify a high nA current at the nitrogen zero point or low nA current in air, indicating a need to replace the membrane and electrolyte.
