Glucosense Verification Kit Details

The GlucoSense Verification Kit is designed to verify the accuracy and performance of Hamilton GlucoSense sensors. Each kit includes a certified glucose solution and a setup solution in single-use Falcon tubes. With a shelf-life of 2 years (when kept refrigerated), it is ideal for routine sensor validation in GMP environments. The kit simplifies qualification workflows and supports audit readiness. Using the verification kit with ArcAir software allows users to follow a 4-step workflow to verify the sensor baseline, test with the standard, and generate a report for GMP purposes.

Certified Solution

Each kit contains both a certified glucose solution and a setup solution. Certificates for the glucose solution can be downloaded online using the lot number.

Long Shelf Life and Stability

Offers a shelf-life of 2 years from the manufacturing date, provided storage conditions are maintained.

Shelf Life 2 years from manufacturing date. Valid as long as the defined storage conditions are maintained.
Recommended Storage Exposure to temperatures between 0 °C and 40 °C for up to 15 days does not affect the declared shelf life
Storage Conditions The verification kit must be kept in refrigerator between 2°C to 8°C. Refrigeration is not required during shipment.
Temperature Measuring Range The GlucoSense Sensor measurement accuracy is valid within the temperature range of 25°C to 38°C. The Verification kit must be used in this same temperature interval.

GlucoSense uses a one-process membrane. Follow the official membrane mounting instructions for correct mounting/removal and wetting steps, and use the recommended verification workflow when starting a new run or after membrane replacement. GlucoSense is designed for the in‑situ measurement of glucose only in mammalian cell culture processes.

How does GlucoSense calibration and re-calibration work?

GlucoSense is designed to operate with an in‑situ process calibration performed under real process conditions. Sensors are factory calibrated, but a Product Calibration before inoculation is required to account for the specific cell culture media formulation. Ongoing performance can be checked using the GlucoSense Verification Kit, while any recalibration strategy is typically defined by the user’s SOPs and control strategy, depending on process requirements.
