The Polilyte Plus ORP Arc is a sensor specifically designed for demanding applications in the chemical and petrochemical industries. The Polilyte Plus ORP Arc sensor utilizes Hamilton's maintenance-free Everef-L reference system, combined with two Single Pore junctions, to effectively eliminate common liquid junction problems such as clogging. This design enhances measurement stability, minimizes maintenance requirements, and helps extend sensor service life under demanding operating conditions.

What is a polymer-filled sensor and why would I choose it?

Polymer-filled sensors use solid (or nearly solid) electrolyte. This design keeps electrolyte from flowing out of the sensor and process liquid from poisoning or clogging the sensor. Polymer filled sensors are a great choice for industrial applications with strong chemicals, particulates and elevated pressures.

What is ORP and why would I want to use it?

ORP is a measurement of the overall level of oxidizing or reducing substances present in the liquid. ORP is expresses as a millivolt (mV) signal. Positive voltage indicates an excess of oxidizing agents in the liquid. Conversely, negative voltage indicates an excess of reducing agents in the liquid. ORP is not specific to a single ion within the liquid but is often used to measure the status of a chemical reaction.

How do I clean an ORP sensor?

The platinum band around the tip of the ORP sensor can oxidize over time. Light scrubbing with a mild abrasive such as toothpaste will remove the oxidization. Rinse with potable water and store in storage solution prior to usage
