VisiFerm mA Details

Precise DO Measurement, Less Frequent Calibration. The VisiFerm mA is the next-generation optical dissolved oxygen (DO) sensor designed for explosive environments. This 2-wire sensor features 4-20 mA and digital HART outputs for seamless integration into production processes. Now carrying full CSA certification alongside existing ATEX and IECEx approvals, the VisiFerm mA offers a truly global solution. It meets all CSA, UL, and FM requirements for intrinsically safe process control in hazardous locations across North America (Class I, II, and III).

The VisiFerm optical technology improves the measuring performance and simplifies maintenance. Improvements compared to conventional electrochemical (amperometric) sensors include flow independence, rapid startup with no polarization time, and no nA noise. It requires less maintenance than an amperometric oxygen sensor as it does not have a mechanically sensitive membrane or a corrosive electrolyte. The VisiFerm mA mitigates the negative effects of aging, temperature, and photobleaching to reduce the frequency of calibration and deviation reports.

Common applications Pharma & Biopharma, Bioprocess Upstream, Water, Energy, & Environment, Water and Wastewater, Power Generation

ATEX, UKEx and IECEx certified, with CSA approval for North American hazardous locations (Class I, II, III)

Reduce maintenance with a durable, membrane-free optical design.

Improve accuracy and stability with flow-independent measurement.

  • We particularly appreciated the professional and personable approach.

The training on pH sensors was highly beneficial for us. After a detailed introduction to the fundamentals of pH measurement, electrode measurement principles, and the topic of troubleshooting/prevention, we had sufficient time to ask our specific questions. This enabled us to apply what we learned immediately and integrate it directly into our laboratory routine. We particularly appreciated the professional and personable approach of Mrs. Näf-Rüdiger, who guided us through the informative and application-oriented training session.

  • The sensors allowed us to improve the end product.

We have high quality standards and are convinced that Hamilton is able to meet them with its oxygen sensors. We use the oxygen sensors throughout the entire area of beer production and bottling. The sensors allowed us to improve the end product. Hamilton's support is excellent at all times.
