Hamilton's 1700 series, Gastight Instrument, Half-Height # 1725.5 PTFE Luer Lock (TLL) Syringe with X-Style plunger features a half height (30 mm stroke) length and is designed for dispensing both liquids and gases in a variety of instruments such as the PSD/4. Compatible with standard female Luer Lock connections. Hamilton 1700 series syringes are Gastight versions of the 700 series, ideal for dispensing liquids and gases. Their polymer plunger tip ensures a leak-free seal. These syringes offer up to 1% accuracy, superior durability, and are made from high-quality, chemically resistant materials.

What is the difference between Bubble Free Prime (BFP) Syringes and Luer Lock (TLL) Syringes?

For any syringe pump, the key to achieving the most accurate dispenses is eliminating all air from the fluid path. Traditional syringes trap approximately 50 μL of air between the tip of the syringe and the valve. For small syringes, this trapped air is the last to leave the syringe and the first to be drawn back in, making them difficult to prime. The Bubble Free Prime (BFP) syringe features a conical plunger tip which expels the air from the syringe and valve decreasing the number of priming cycles required to eliminate air bubbles from within the flow path.

Can I order a replacement plunger for my syringe?

Most Gastight syringes have replacement plungers available under 'Accessories' on the product page, while Microliter syringes do not. 7000 series modified Microliter syringes have zero dead volume and a small plunger wire, but it's best not to remove the needle or plunger to avoid damaging the wire.
