What is Memosens?
Memosens is a communication protocol for sensors. It allows digital communication with Memosens transmitters such as the Hamilton H220x transmitter. -
Does temperature impact my oxygen measurement?
Yes, in a closed system, gas phase temperature is directly proportional to pressure and therefore measured oxygen content. In solution, temperature is inversely proportional to dissolved oxygen content. -
Does carbon dioxide sparging impact my DO measurement?
CO2 sparging will not impact the DO measurement using an optical DO sensor. CO2 can impact traditional polarographic DO sensors over time thus more frequent electrolyte replacement may be needed.

Comparing Optical To Polarographic Dissolved Oxygen Measurement
There is a clear trend in the market towards replacing polarographic with optical dissolved oxygen. When evaluating the switch to optical, engineers must consider if there will be any impact on the current process due to the change in measurement principle. -
