S7 connectors are typically found on traditional pH sensors that lack temperature compensation. These connectors are recessed; thus, care must be taken to avoid moisture getting trapped, which could lead to a short circuit. On the controller side, BNC connectors are commonly found on Applikon biocontrollers and some older transmitters.
