Retractex B

The Retractex B is a manual or pneumatic retractable housing designed for sanitary applications in biotechnology, food and beverage, and pharmaceutical applications with process pressures up to 16 bar. The patented HyCIP design uses the Ingold socket as the cleaning chamber ensuring superior cleaning.
The compact design with a stroke of only 36 mm keeps wear on seals to a minimum and creates excellent reliability – day and night, all year long. It can be cleaned easily and thoroughly in place, including the space between the socket and rinsing chamber. It is designed for 225 mm long sensors with 12 mm shaft diameter and is equipped with several safety features (e.g. no sensor – no insertion, window to check seals for leakage etc.) to provide operator safety. It is available with various process connections and sealing materials.

HyCIP Process Connections
The Retractex B has a unique cleaning option called HyCIP for G 1¼" sockets found in hygienic processes.
When retracted, the sensor can be cleaned and sterilized together with all external wetted seals. The cleaning solution is directed between housing and socket then up to the process seal. This ensures that the most remote parts of the chamber are rinsed. HyCIP housings are unmatched for their cleaning performance of the sensor and of all relevant seals.
HyCIP process connections are designed with o-ring positions at 25, 50 and 55 mm to match most weld-in sockets on the market.
