Trust in Hamilton's industry-leading Microlab STAR liquid handling solution for lasting confidence in results. The Microlab STAR can be changed or upgraded throughout its life to accommodate changing workflows, while robust and flexible programming through VENUS can accomplish any task, from simple to complex. As always, Hamilton's pipetting technology achieves high accuracy, precision, and repeatability from sub-microliter to large volumes.
The Microlab STAR uses air displacement pipetting to achieve superior measurement accuracy. Additionally, Hamilton pipette channels and tips are designed to fit precisely together using a patented lock-and-key design called CO-RE (Compressed O-Ring Expansion). This creates a tight seal with precise tip alignment to eliminate tip distortion and ensure the highest accuracy during liquid handling steps. Optional anti-droplet control and liquid level detection technologies further safeguard sample and results integrity.
With a flexible deck layout, the Microlab STAR accommodates a broad range of tools and accessories to further enhance assay flexibility.
- Labware Gripper
- Pipetting Channels
- iSWAP Robotic Transport Arm
- [MPE]2 Positive Pressure Module
- Media Fill Module
The Microlab STAR’s VENUS software allows users to control their system for processes from simple to complex without compromising on requirements. VENUS software is completely integration friendly, easily allowing third party components to be added to the system without limiting functionality. Use the VENUS Power Steps for basic process programming, or create time-saving custom templates for future processes.
Choice in Personalized Platforms
The Microlab STAR provides multiple configurable base platforms to suit a variety of throughput and integration requirements. A modular format allows for upgrades as needs evolve.
The Microlab STAR works with a wide variety of consumables to optimize efficiency and throughput in automated workflows. Hamilton consumables are key components of the Microlab STAR system that ensure quality results.
The Microlab STAR is available in three sizes: Microlab STAR, Microlab STARlet, and Microlab STARplus.
