PTFE Coated Needles

The PTFE coated needles are used for thin layer chromatography (TLC) and are coated with PTFE 3/4" up the needle from the tip. The coating reduces the surface tension between the needle and the liquid making it ideal for reproducible sample spotting. These needles are available as a removable needle (RN) small or large hub and will connect to the appropriate RN syringes.

Needle Point Style Guide
Hamilton offers a variety of different laboratory needle point designs. Needle termination selection is very important to the proper function of an application. Lab needles need to perform in many different environments. Terminations are available in non-coring, beveled, drilled side port and more. -
Needle Length Guide
Needle length is a critical consideration for every application. Each needle hub design requires a slightly different length definition. It doesn't matter if the application is utilizing lab needles for life science injection or environmental analysis of ground water, the injection needs to hit the right target. This guide illustrates how to make the different measurements. -
Needle Gauge Chart
In addition to being inert stainless steel, lab needles require proper sizing in order to function properly. The diameter of a needle is defined by its gauge. Hamilton company offers a wide spectrum of gauges. This index displays the internal and outer dimensions and the dead volume.
