Are CO-RE II tips compatible with CO-RE hardware?
Yes. Backwards compatibility of the tips with the legacy version of the stop disk is guaranteed. However, once stop disks have been changed to CO-RE II, legacy tips must not be used.
-
Is there an error which appears if I use current CO-RE tips with CO-RE II stop disks?
No, current CO-RE tips paired with CO-RE II stop disks will not seal and may leak.
-
Can my system be retrofitted with legacy CO-RE stop disks?
Customers will not be downgraded to legacy CO-RE technology.
-
How can a lab user distinguish CO-RE and CO-RE II tips?
CO-RE II tips are clearly labeled on the outside of the case box, blister pack cover, and have “C2” printed on the tip rack barcode label.
-
Do CO-RE II tips have a new part number?
No, part numbers will not change.
-
When should I upgrade my Prep to CO-RE II?
An instrument should be upgraded when a user has depleted their CO-RE tips and have CO-RE II tips.
-
Will I be charged to upgrade my Prep to CO-RE II?
The upgrade is covered free of charge.
-
What is the lifespan of CO-RE II stop disks and O-rings?

-
How will my Prep channel heads be updated to CO-RE II?
