Hamilton Neuros syringe technology provides unprecedented functionality for controlled animal injections. The Neuros accurately dispenses volumes between 50 nL and 100 μL through an ultrafine needle. Developed specifically for neuroscience applications, the Neuros enables the delivery of microvolumes to an exact location while minimizing injection site damage. Neuros syringes come with two types of protective needle sleeves. The sleeve with a blind stop is perfect for cannulated applications and ensures targeted administration with an adjustable penetration depth. The version without a blind stop works best with stereotaxic holders. Both models provide an adjustable needle exposure of 0 to 20 mm.
Targeted sample delivery
Flexible options for a variety of uses
Each syringe offers two needle sleeve options:
- The version without a blind stop works best with stereotaxic holders. Both types provide an adjustable needle exposure of 0–20 mm.
- The blind stop option is ideal for cannulated applications and ensures precise administration with an adjustable penetration depth.
Also, Neuros syringes are compatible with most infusion pumps and stereotaxic holders, allowing for an easy integration into existing processes.
Instructions - Neuros SyringesThe Neuros Syringe accurately dispenses 50 nL to 100 μL of liquid through an ultrafine needle protected by a custom-designed sleeve. Developed specifically for the neurosciences, the Neuros minimizes injection site damage by increasing needle rigidity and delivering a microvolume of liquid to an exact location.
Instructions - PEEK Tubing and Pulled Glass Needle ConnectorsThe syringe and needle accessories described in this document were developed for low dead volume applications that require easily primed connections for Microliter™ and Gastight® syringes. The connectors and ferrules described below are designed for use with the small Removable Needle (RN) and Knurled Hub (KH) terminations found on the 600, 700, 800, 900, 1700, 1800 and 7000 series syringes with a nominal volume of 0.5–100 µL.

Can Hamilton syringes be used on humans?Hamilton syringes are not manufactured for human use and are designed primarily for analytical chemistry and chromatography applications. Hamilton also makes syringes and accessories for life science and neuroscience, but those applications are solely intended for animal use. To discuss potential off-label uses for Hamilton syringes, please contact Hamilton technical support.
Why is there a wire sticking out of my new needle? Some smaller gauge needles are shipped with cleaning wires threaded through the needle to ensure that the needles are free of debris. The wire must be removed before use.
What is the difference between the Syringe and the Calibrated Syringe? These syringes are manufactured the exact same way. The Syringe does not include a Certificate of Calibration, whereas the Calibrated Syringe is a serialized syringe including a Certificate of Calibration traceable to NIST. Hamilton Company offers a recalibration service for Calibrated Syringes. All Calibrated Syringe part numbers begin with CAL.
