Hamilton's 1800 series, Gastight # 1801 Removable Needle (RN) Syringe is a reinforced plunger version of the 1700 Gastight syringe. This syringe also features a blue Syringe Holder attached to the flange. Commonly used for On-column injections with special needle specifications adjusted to the columns with 0.25 mm inner diameter. On-column injection employs longer needles with smaller outer diameters for direct introduction of the liquid sample into the column. This is very useful for the analysis of thermally unstable samples and avoids boiling point discrimination. The reinforced plunger provides crucial support to delicate, small-volume plungers, preventing bending and maintaining injection integrity.
