Latest Software Version: 2.0.7656.17539

To perform a software update, you must have the Advanced Controller. If you have an SD card in the slot on the left side of the controller base, you have an Advanced Controller. If you have a Basic Controller, you can purchase the Basic to Advanced Controller Update Kit for access to all the Advanced functionalities.

Update Instructions:

  1. Remove the SD card from the slot on the left side of the controller base.
  2. Insert the SD card into the SD-to-USB adapter (included with the instrument) and plug it in to your computer.
  3. Download both .ZIP files and transfer both files onto the SD card. Transfer the entire files and do not delete the old files. Do not extract or unzip the files (this process will be handled by the Microlab 600 controller). For the instrument to recognize the files, it is very important that the file names match the example below:
  4. Insert the SD card into the controller and then turn the instrument on.
  5. Once the controller is booted up, navigate to the ‘Utilities’ screen and press the ‘Update’ button. Then press ‘Start’ to begin the update. Follow the instructions on the screen to complete the update.

*In some cases, the update process may need to be completed twice. To verify whether the update was successful, navigate to Configuration → Software → Version (view). If the version did not update to 2.0.7656.17539 after the first attempt, please repeat the process by pressing the 'Update' and 'Start' buttons again.
