The new Hamilton PCR ComfortLid is the first fully automatable, blister-packaged, disposable sealing and unsealing lid. It features a dedicated, patent-pending mechanism that securely covers the wells of a PCR plate during thermal cycling in the ODTC® from Inheco.

In validation studies, Radboud UMC Nijmegen reported that after four PCR runs, only 0.8% of the total volume evaporated—demonstrating excellent sealing performance. 

Additionally, Exosome Diagnostics GmbH confirmed no cross-contamination in checkerboard qPCR tests, even with alternating DNA concentrations, ensuring sample integrity throughout the process.
