What is the difference between ZEUS and ZEUS X1?

ZEUS® X1 (Z-Excursion Universal SamplerTM - eXchange Series 1 mL) is a fully programmable, compact pipettor that gives integrators access to Hamilton’s latest innovations in air displacement technology. Building upon the success of its predecessor ZEUS, the clean-sheet design of ZEUS X1 combines over 60 years of liquid handling experience into one powerful channel.

New ZEUS X1 features include:

• The industry’s first integrated Z-axis with a removable and replaceable pipetting head for quick and easy service.
• An adjustable mount for fine tilt and offset alignment.
• Improved pressure and capacitive liquid level detection and following during aspiration and dispense.
• 20 mm increase in Z-travel.
• Hamilton’s proprietary CO-RE® II technology which decouples tip retention and sealing enabling low-force tip pick-up and eject to eliminate the risks of tip deformity, aerosol generation, and premature equipment wear commonly found in inferior force-driven automated systems.
• 22% smaller build package enables 18 mm spacing with a single channel which means no more front and back motor configurations.
• Reinforced enclosure improves durability and protection of internal components for worry-free handling.
• Timing belt driven Z-axis for more accurate control of force and improved bottom search functionality.
