Yes! Previously exclusive to Hamilton liquid handling platforms, ZEUS X1 provides integrators with access to Hamilton’s patented CO-RE II (compressed O-ring expansion) technology. Designed to solve tip sealing and alignment issues plagued by press-fit pickup techniques, this unique stop disc and tip connection design decouple tip sealing and tip retention, resulting in a secure and reliable tip connection every time.

How Does it Work?
For low-force tip pickup, ZEUS X1 lowers the stop disc into the tip until the O-ring is seated properly against the sealing surface of the tip. The ball bearings then project outward, locking into the tip for a secure lock and key connection. For tip ejection, ZEUS X1 retracts the bearings, unlocking the tip connection and allowing the eject sleeve to gently discard the tip.
