Brewing Competence: Improving Fermentation Processes with Hamilton Sensors

How VLB uses Hamilton Sensors to optimize their processes

  • Brewing Competence.

VLB Berlin e.V. operates analytics, education, research, and consulting at the highest level. To support and further improve their processes, VLB also relies on inline sensors from Hamilton.

Your Fermentation Process - Our Sensors

Experimental reactor for continuous mixed fermentation

VisiFerm Arc sensor controls ventilation of an experimental bioreactor while researching continuous mixed fermentation.

Ph sensor installed in brewery tank

Using the practical FlexiFit fitting, all Hamilton sensors can be installed in the tanks of the VLB Technical Center. With the pH sensor, the typical pH drop at the beginning of fermentation can be measured, visually represented, and effectively conveyed to course participants for educational purposes.

Lab technician installing sensor to reactor

For individual applications and inquiries, the CIP-capable sensors can be easily replaced before or after tank cleaning. During a brewery internship, a probe for measuring cell density can be installed to demonstrate the influence of varying aeration intensity during fermentation to students.
