Hamilton‘s OnDemand Sensor Program for OETTINGER GETRÄNKE

Hamilton has offered the option of leasing sensors for use in brewery applications since 2017. After originally only offering oxygen sensors, thanks to the good response from the market, Hamilton OnDemand now also includes state-of-the-art sensors for efficient yeast management. But how exactly does OnDemand work? Our oxygen sensors, for example, are known for their exceptional robustness and guarantee reliable performance even under demanding conditions. However, to ensure consistently high measurement accuracy, regular maintenance is essential. With OnDemand, Hamilton not only offers a convenient solution, but also provides the customer with a completely worry-free measuring parameter: The sensors are not purchased, instead a customer subscribes to a measuring parameter for an annual fixed amount, without any additional costs for maintenance.

The included sensors are proactively replaced by Hamilton Service every year. The exchange happens after consultation with the customer and via mail. The factory serviced and calibrated sensor will be sent to the customer prior to the replacement date. In addition, the customer has access to our technical support at any time. In comparison to the classic purchase of measuring technology, there are no high initial investment costs nor annual expenses for wear and labor, which are difficult to forecast. This enables flexible and affordable access to the latest measurement technology.

We have spoken to customers about OnDemand and would like to present breweries that have already opted for this service in this series. We shed light on their motivations and ask about their satisfaction.

It is hard to beat Hamilton's measurement technology, which is used in the OeTTINGER brewery, in terms of its measurement accuracy and reliability. The OnDemand solution represents an attractive price-performance ratio compared to purchasing and the associated follow-up costs such as maintenance. The subscription gives OeTTINGER GETRÄNKE a high level of planning security regarding costs. In the event of a sensor failure, the sensor will be replaced without any additional cost. In addition, they will always have the latest technology for their process. OeTTINGER GETRÄNKE advises to keep the follow-up costs in mind when assessing a purchase. These do not arise with the OnDemand offer. 
 

Where is OnDemand used?

The oxygen sensors are used in-line on all filling lines as well as in the production area in filtration. We have had very good experiences with the subscription so far. The costs are manageable and plannable. The annual sensor exchange is problem-free – “plug and play”. It's almost impossible to get better support from Hamilton: adherence to deadlines, communication, transparency and support - impeccable at all times.
