A customer was designing an instrument to operate in a harsh chemical environment. They requested a completely metal free syringe to eliminate the possibility of corrosion. The application required a high duty cycle so a long life plunger design was also required.
Collaboration
Custom Built Engineers quickly designed a syringe that used PEEK plastic in place of all parts that were commonly made from metal. They also incorporated an Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene (UHMWPE) plunger tip to provide superior syringe life.
