Polilyte Plus pH Sensors - Memosens

Polilyte Plus sensors have a maintenance-free design to withstand demanding industrial applications in chemical, petrochemical, process water, and wastewater treatment applications. Common reference problems such as clogging are eliminated with the two Single Pore junctions. The Polilyte sensors show good measurement accuracy in highly alkaline solutions as well as in samples with low conductivity. Additionally, the Everef-L reference cartridge ensures a long lifetime. The addition of Memosens digital sensor technology allows the Polilyte plus to retrofit into existing installations for longer sensor life and less maintenance.

Traditional vs. Arc vs. Memosens Sensors?
Traditional sensors provide standard mV output and rely on a separate transmitter or controller to amplify the signal and convert to an actual reading. Arc sensors provide a built-in microtransmitter that can output either 4 - 20mA or Modbus RTU digital communication. Finally Memosens sensors offer a digital signal that works with all Memosens transmitters and analyzers currently on the market. -
What is Memosens?
Memosens is a communication protocol for sensors. It allows digital communication with Memosens transmitters such as the Hamilton H220x transmitter. -
What is the expected lifetime of my pH sensor?
Expected pH sensor lifetime is dependent on the application. Exposure to strong chemicals, elevated temperature, fluctuating pressure, and solid build-up can all impact the sensor life. As the sensor ages, a sluggish response may become more apparent, and will require more frequent calibrations to compensate for this change. The overall health of the Arc pH sensors can be seen using the quality indicator in ArcAir software. Click to learn more about sensor lifespan and expiration in the Knowledgebase article.
