Hamilton's 1000 series, Gastight Model 1005 Luer Lock (TLL) Instrument Syringe with an X-style plunger is designed for manually dispensing both liquids and gases. It was designed for use in a variety of instruments, including the PSD/6,  Kratel Partoscope FD, Tecan Diluters and Samplers. Compatible with standard female Luer Lock connections. The 1000 series is a mid-volume Gastight syringe. They feature a polymer plunger tip that creates a leak-free seal. With a wide range of volume capabilities, terminations, needle options, and plunger styles, this syringe series provides exceptional flexibility and versatility. Hamilton syringes ensure an accuracy of ± 1%, superior durability, and are manufactured with the highest quality chemically resistant materials.

Chemical sterilization is the preferred method for all Hamilton products. Autoclaving syringes should only be used as a last resort and only where specifically stated. Syringe sterilization is not straightforward. Not all syringes can be autoclaved.

What is the difference between Bubble Free Prime (BFP) Syringes and Luer Lock (TLL) Syringes?

For any syringe pump, the key to achieving the most accurate dispenses is eliminating all air from the fluid path. Traditional syringes trap approximately 50 μL of air between the tip of the syringe and the valve. For small syringes, this trapped air is the last to leave the syringe and the first to be drawn back in, making them difficult to prime. The Bubble Free Prime (BFP) syringe features a conical plunger tip which expels the air from the syringe and valve decreasing the number of priming cycles required to eliminate air bubbles from within the flow path.
