The VisiFerm DO Arc was designed to meet the demanding needs of hygienic applications in the biotechnology, bio pharmaceutical, and food and beverage industry. The VisiFerm DO Arc optical dissolved oxygen sensor offers a simple way to upgrade from traditional polarographic sensors. The sensor measurement principle offers increased accuracy and reduced maintenance while the output provides both 4 - 20mA and Modbus digital outputs.

Why should I upgrade my optical DO sensor to VisiFerm RS485?

The VisiFerm RS485 has new electronics offering end users a more robustness and higher performing sensor all while being compatible within existing installations by keeping the same total sensor length. Improved functionalities allow for more accurate calibrations along with diagnostics features such as cap and sensor quality indicators.

Does temperature impact my oxygen measurement?

Yes, in a closed system, gas phase temperature is directly proportional to pressure and therefore measured oxygen content. In solution, temperature is inversely proportional to dissolved oxygen content.

Does carbon dioxide sparging impact my DO measurement?

CO2 sparging will not impact the DO measurement using an optical DO sensor. CO2 can impact traditional polarographic DO sensors over time thus more frequent electrolyte replacement may be needed.
