UPW Simulator Details

In accordance with USP645, resistance measurements of the transmitter should be verified before conductivity measurements.

The UPW simulator contains a high precision resistor with a resistance of 1 MOhm (exact value stated in the certificate) and is traceable to PTB (Germany), resp. NIST.

Traceable verification of resistance measurement for UPW conductivity sensors. 

Certified resistance value (individually verified).

Does the cell constant of my conductivity sensor change over time?

The cell constant of a conductivity sensor may change over time due to corrosion of the electrodes from an aggressive media, or due to fouling of the electrodes. Calibration adjusts the cell constant and can help offset these effects to a certain extent.
