New Optical Dissolved Oxygen Sensor Meets Craft Brewers’ Needs for Accurate, Affordable Control

Reno, Nevada, (September 23, 2015) – Hamilton Company introduces the VisiTrace Optical DO Sensor, providing trace, low-ppb dissolved oxygen measurement in beer-making processes. The sensor’s unique design integrates the transmitter, eliminating the costs associated with buying and installing a separate transmitter. Yet VisiTrace has the smallest footprint of all DO sensors and it can be configured and calibrated from a smartphone via Bluetooth.

VisiTrace delivers fast, accurate and undistorted measurements across all conditions and concentrations and is not affected by flow or CO₂. The sensor’s optical sensor cap is resistant to cleaning solutions such as active chlorine and chlorine dioxide, and the robust sensor does not need calibrating after each clean-in-place (CIP) cycle. VisiTrace measures very low – 0 to 2,000 ppb – levels, does not require polarization and has virtually no maintenance requirements. An easy exchange of the sensor cap is all that is occasionally required.
