The Power to Connect
What is Arc Technology?
Arc sensor technology offers a new way to think about how sensors are installed and managed. It eliminates the traditional transmitter by building it directly into the sensor, creating the Arc MicroTransmitter. This integration saves space and cost. Data stays with the sensor at all times. Arc sensors include a robust connection directly to the process control system. Optional Arc Wi adapters enable Bluetooth communication while maintaining hardwired control signals. Status lights on the sensors or adapters provide visual indication of sensor status (Normal Operation, Sensor Warning, Sensor Errors).
ArcAir Software
ArcAir is intuitive software designed to work the way you do. It allows you to configure, calibrate, and troubleshoot Arc sensors. ArcAir provides efficient and safe communication for monitoring, validating, and managing users and sensors. It combines the reliability of Arc sensors with the power, convenience, and portability of mobile devices and PCs. ArcAir is available for PC, Android™, and iOS®. You can connect via USB or Bluetooth.
Redefine Your Workflow with ArcAir
Arc sensors store configuration and calibration data within the sensor. This allows calibration to be done in the controlled environment of the lab on your time using ArcAir software. Pre-calibrated sensors are then ready for installation and sterilization, allowing for a "Grab and Go" process with no additional at-line calibration required. Arc eliminates the reliance on at-line calibrations during start-up. Easy-to-follow wizards guide you through tasks like calibration, verification, and communication validation. You can monitor all sensors in your lab from an easy-to-use dashboard. Colored indicators on the dashboard enable quick identification of sensors needing attention. You can filter the dashboard view according to your requirements. Quickly view important measurement data, sensor health, and calibration data under the info tab. Error messages or warnings are also displayed here. You can check the status of all sensors on a single screen using the dashboard.
Automated Documentation and GMP Compliance
ArcAir software eliminates manual documentation. It automatically captures all sensor configuration, calibration, and verification reports in a centralized database. This saves time and eliminates potential transcription errors, providing GMP-compatible reporting. You can save reports automatically after successful calibration. All reports can be signed electronically, enabling a complete paperless workflow. This feature helps you comply with international regulatory guidances such as FDA CFR 21 Part 11 and Eudralex Volume 4 Annex 11. Reports can be customized according to your specific needs. A PDF copy of the report can also be saved automatically. Alternatively, reports can be printed for sign-off. To support the four eyes rule, a second user can approve the calibration report, adding their electronic signature. All activities performed with ArcAir mobile and desktop are automatically logged in an audit trail report.
Enhanced Security and User Management
ArcAir Advanced accommodates the security needs of GMP facilities with a centralized database for user management and storage of sensor history. Administrators can create optional user accounts and assign them to predefined or customized user roles with different access levels for enhanced security. By default, ArcAir provides four user roles: administrator, production technician, calibration technician, and quality manager. Administrators can customize security settings like password length, complexity, and expiration time. Administrators can also manage the database, including backup and restore functions. Additionally, administrators can create process groups and assign them to specific users. After logging in, users can only access assigned sensor groups and tasks within their role.
Diagnostics and Data Analysis
ArcAir provides sensor health indicators, operating hours, and sterilization counters to help determine if a sensor should be discarded or is suitable for another run. Wireless communication allows receiving diagnostic information from sensors without interrupting the process. Sensor diagnostics are transmitted wirelessly, enabling troubleshooting from a mobile device. Historic sensor data stored in the database can be used for troubleshooting or predicting the useful life of a sensor. The experiment feature in ArcAir allows recording and displaying measured data from up to three Arc sensors for graphical analysis. ArcAir software enables administrators to change the path where the database is saved. You can easily verify the signal communication to the control system with the help of a wizard. Measurement verification wizards guide you through checking sensor performance after fermentation to ensure accuracy.
Integration and System Design Benefits
Arc seamlessly connects with existing R&D and production infrastructure. It reduces startup costs and integration footprint on new projects and expansions. Arc sensors offer a wide array of analog and digital communication protocols for effortless integration into existing systems. Eliminating bulky transmitters helps shrink panel size and minimize failure points. Wiring is simplified, reducing assembly and troubleshooting costs. Modern equipment manufacturers implement Arc sensors to save space, improve usability, and expedite validation. ArcAir's Experiments tool can be used by skid builders to capture performance data for enriched Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Functional Performance Testing (FPT). Arc's automated reports fast-track Turn Over Package (TOP) creation for rapid on-site validation. Direct access via Modbus RTU protocol accelerates feature-rich controls integration.
