VP6 / Open End Sensor Cable Details
The Variopin VP6 cable is a specialized single coaxial cable equipped with a 6-pin connector on one end and open wiring connections on the other. Its primary application is to facilitate the connection of traditional (non-Arc) sensors, such as pH and ORP sensors, polarographic Dissolved Oxygen (DO) sensors, and 2 or 4-pole Conducell conductivity sensors, to compatible transmitters. These traditional sensors typically generate analog output signals in the form of millivolts (mV) or nanoamperes (nA), which the VP6 cable is specifically designed to accommodate and transmit accurately. The measurement signal is carried through a single coaxial cable, ensuring a shielded and reliable connection that minimizes interference and signal loss. Furthermore, VP6 cables are constructed with a slightly heavier outer insulation jacket. This enhanced insulation provides an added layer of durability and protection, making the cable more resilient to the harsh conditions often encountered in rough industrial environments. This robust design contributes to the consistent performance and extended lifespan of the cable across a wide range of process sensor applications.
