The Polilyte Plus MS2 is a maintenance-free, high-precision pH sensor built with Memosens digital technology for outstanding reliability in chemically aggressive and low-conductivity environments. Designed for demanding industrial applications, it eliminates common clogging issues with two Single Pore junctions, ensuring consistent, accurate measurements even in highly alkaline or low-conductivity samples. 

The Everef-L reference cartridge extends sensor life, minimizing downtime and replacement costs. With its maintenance-free design, the Polilyte Plus MS2 reduces operational burdens in chemical, petrochemical, process water, and wastewater treatment settings. Thanks to its Memosens technology, it easily integrates into existing systems, offering a simple upgrade path for improved durability and performance. What is a polymer-filled sensor and why would I choose it?

Polymer-filled sensors use solid (or nearly solid) electrolyte. This design keeps electrolyte from flowing out of the sensor and process liquid from poisoning or clogging the sensor. Polymer filled sensors are a great choice for industrial applications with strong chemicals, particulates and elevated pressures.

Does Hamilton make pH sensors for high pressure applications?

Yes, our Polilyte Plus sensors are rated to 10 Bar (145 PSIG) from 0 to 130C. The Polilyte Plus XP version of these sensors is rated up to 16 Bar (232 PSIG) from 0 to 130C and can handle up to 50 Bar (724 PSIG) at lower temperatures. Learn more at the link below.

FAQ

What is the effect of temperature on ORP?

Temperature compensation is a common requirement for accurate pH measurements, but not generally used for ORP. Why? pH is a measurement of the hydrogen ion concentration by the glass membrane. The voltage output of this glass membrane is temperature dependent, as is the hydrogen ion activity in the liquid. Temperature compensation will correct the pH voltage output back to a standardized 25°C. ORP differs from pH as it is not tied to a specific ion. The effects of temperature can be different depending on oxidizing and reducing substances present in the liquid. Due to this uncertainty, the ORP sensor output is uncompensated millivolts.
