Hamilton's EasyFerm Plus pH sensors are a popular choice for biopharma and chemical applications where frequent autoclave and SIP procedures are common. They offer a pre-pressurized reference system with standard mV output, compatible with most transmitters. The combination of the pre-pressurized reference, Phermlyte electrolyte, and HP Coatramic diaphragm ensures stable, drift-free measurements by preventing clogging and chemical ingress. Hamilton offers specialized membrane glass like PHI for high chemical robustness and HB for fast CIP/SIP recovery. Digital integration is available with Arc and Memosens technology.

What is a pre-pressurized sensor and why would I choose it?

The electrolyte within the sensor is pressurized at the factory. This feature helps prevent against clogging and poisoning of the sensor due to the process liquid. The design is hygienic and well suited for fermentation applications found in biopharma, food, and beverage markets.

What is the difference between traditional, Arc and Memosens sensors?

Traditional sensors provide standard mV output and rely on a separate transmitter or controller to amplify the signal and convert to an actual reading. Arc sensors provide a built-in microtransmitter that can output either 4 - 20mA or Modbus RTU digital communication. Finally Memosens sensors offer a digital signal that works with all Memosens transmitters and analyzers currently on the market.
