Hamilton's 1000 series, Gastight Instrument # 1025   PTFE Luer Lock (TLL) Syringe with Side Post Mounting (XL) plunger is designed for dispensing both liquids and gases in a variety of instruments. Compatible with standard female Luer Lock connections. The 1000 series is a mid-volume GasTight syringe. They feature a polymer plunger tip that creates a leak-free seal. With a wide range of volume capabilities, terminations, needle options, and plunger styles, this syringe series provides exceptional flexibility and versatility. Hamilton syringes ensure an accuracy of ± 1%, superior durability, and are manufactured with the highest quality chemically resistant materials.

What is the difference between Bubble Free Prime (BFP) Syringes and Luer Lock (TLL) Syringes?

For any syringe pump, the key to achieving the most accurate dispenses is eliminating all air from the fluid path. Traditional syringes trap approximately 50 μL of air between the tip of the syringe and the valve. For small syringes, this trapped air is the last to leave the syringe and the first to be drawn back in, making them difficult to prime. The Bubble Free Prime (BFP) syringe features a conical plunger tip which expels the air from the syringe and valve decreasing the number of priming cycles required to eliminate air bubbles from within the flow path.

Gastight syringes are the most versatile syringes. Plungers are replaceable if they get bent. Any of the Metal hub, Kel-F or Removable needle allow for the replacement of needle if they become bent or plugged.

Most Gastight syringes have replacement plungers available under 'Accessories' on the product page, while Microliter syringes do not. 7000 series modified Microliter syringes have zero dead volume and a small plunger wire, but it's best not to remove the needle or plunger to avoid damaging the wire.
