Hamilton's 1000 series, Gastight #1025 Special Syringe, is designed for Purge and Trap applications because you can easily remove the syringe plunger and load water samples into the syringe barrel. Commonly used for analysis of drinking water samples according to EPA purge and trap concentration techniques (see EPA methods 502.1, 502.2, 503.1, 524.1 and 524.2). 

Compatible with Large RN Hub Needles or Luer Lock Hub Needles.

Most Gastight syringes have replacement plungers available under 'Accessories' on the product page, while Microliter syringes do not. 7000 series modified Microliter syringes have zero dead volume and a small plunger wire, but it's best not to remove the needle or plunger to avoid damaging the wire.
