PRP-3 (PN: 79466) is based off the PRP-1 resin with surface modification such that it increases the contribution of the large pore sizes. By utilizing a 300 Å pore size, PRP-3 is optimized for the separation of macromolecules.

Hamilton PRP-3 columns are based on the PRP-1 with a larger pore size for the separation of macromolecules such as DNA, RNA oligos, proteins, peptides, and proteomics. This column resin has no silanol groups, so irreversible protein adsorption is not a concern, giving analytes such as proteins a recovery of > 90%. This stable material also allows the use of concentrated acids, chaotropes, and even detergents to minimize problems with protein solubility.
