Space-Saving, On-Deck Fluorescence Measurements

The Fluoreye mobile fluorescence reader is operated by a 1000 µL pipetting channel, moving to and measuring samples in 96-well flat-bottom plates.

Fully Integrated, Hands-Free Nucleic Acid Quantification and Normalization

Fluoreye is a compact powerhouse, measuring fluorescence in 96-well flat-bottom plates without contacting samples. It offers dual excitation wavelengths at 470/625 nm and detection wavelengths at 520/680 nm, with results in less than three minutes (96-well plates).

Fluoreye offers sensitive detection of fluorescently tagged or auto-fluorescent samples for increased specificity.

Conveniently Hands-Free, On-Deck Automated Fluorescence Detection

Add the Fluoreye to a single deck position on any Microlab STARMicrolab STAR V, or Microlab VANTAGE liquid handler, and control it through the VENUS software. The mobile device attaches to a 1000 µL CO-RE pipetting channel to move from the base station to a sample plate, where it measures fluorescence in up to 6000 samples per charge and transmits data back to the base station via Bluetooth. The base station contains a battery charger, identifies the correct mobile device, and interfaces with the automated liquid handler. Up to four Fluoreye units may be added to a deck (not for simultaneous use).

Common applications Genomics, Nucleic Acid Quantification & Normalization, NGS Library Prep, Cell Biology, Cell Culture

With the deck-mounted Fluoreye, actions are automated and tracked to enhance quality and process stability while removing risks of variability and errors.

Focus on other tasks and eliminate repetitive manual tasks while fluorescence detection is automatically performed using the integrated Fluoreye.

Extend and scale the end-to-end workflow, including fluorescence readings on any Microlab STAR, Microlab STAR V, and Microlab VANTAGE platform.

The Fluoreye is fully compatible with most fluorescent DNA/RNA test kits to support quantification and normalization processes.

Explore the Fluoreye

1

Fluoreye Mobile Device

Moves to samples by attaching to a 1000 µL CO-RE pipetting channel and contains the fluorescence reader, RFID tag, and battery.
2

Fluoreye Base Station

Uses one ANSI/SLAS deck position, contains the battery charger, hosts a function check source, identifies mobile device RFID tags, and interfaces with the liquid handler.
3

Rechargeable Battery

Supports up to 6000 fluorescence measurements per full battery charge.
4

Fluorescence Optics

Two sets of excitation LEDs and sensors facilitate many assay chemistries, using variable excitation and detection wavelength combinations.
5

Dark Mode Measurements

Uses no excitation and offers ambient light compensation without using shading or dark housings.
6

Bluetooth Communication

Using Bluetooth technology, data originating from the mobile device is fully encrypted as it is transmitted to the base station.
  • Fluoreye has allowed us to incorporate the quantification of full 96-well sample plates at high precision.

Automation is a must at a centralized NGS laboratory. Since we started working in 2015, there has been an increasing number of libraries to process that required their quantification. Fluorometric assays are the gold standard that needed to be performed outside the library NGS liquid handler. Fluoreye has allowed us to incorporate the quantification of full 96-well sample plates in the main pipeline of our library generation process, at high precision, and coupled to a large walkaway time for the technicians in charge.
