Automated ID Barcode Scanning
The high-speed LabElite I.D. Reader takes less than three seconds to automatically scan all 2D barcoded tubes in a 96-format rack. Even more impressively, it takes five seconds for automatic identification of all 2D barcoded tubes in 384-format racks. For biobanks and those managing sample libraries working with sensitive and limited samples, the time savings can make a difference.
Optional 1D barcode reading for sample racks is also available for extra sample tracking efficiency.
This semi-automated sample tube and rack barcode reader works with a wide variety of sample tubes and racks, including Hamilton’s sample storage tubes and RackWare. Additionally, it’s an ideal next step for samples removed from our automated sample storage systems.
ColdScan Technology
Condensation can interfere with barcode scanning of frozen sample tube racks. LabElite I.D. Readers include ColdScan technology to minimize condensation. By actively moving air across the barcode reader scanning window, ColdScan technology bypasses the need to thaw samples prior to scanning and eliminates any fog build-up that can inhibit or delay scanning of 2D barcoded tubes.

By scanning full racks of 2D barcoded tubes in seconds—even racks containing tubes of multiple heights—samples can move to downstream steps without delay.

The LabElite I.D. Reader has SiLA compliant drivers and highly configurable output options for smooth LIMS integration and database connectivity.
Cutting-edge decoding technology effectively reads even challenging 2D barcode types. Optional 1D barcode reading is available for tube racks.
