Where can I find documentation and certificates for my sensors?Paper copies sensor information such as manuals, declarations of quality, and material certificates ship with the product. Hamilton also has several website resources to find related information. Click on the FAQ to learn more.
How much torque is needed to install a sensor with PG13.5 threads?Sensors with PG13.5 threads rely on the o-ring to seal against process pressure. Finger-tight (approximately 2 Newton Meter or 18 inch-lb) should be sufficient to install the sensor without leakage. Additional tightening beyond this can deform the o-ring or strip the threads.
How to Measure Sensor A-lengthSensor A-length determines the insertion depth of the sensor. This article shows how this measurement is made for various styles of sensors.
Understanding Wetted Materials (Stainless, Plastics, & Elastomers)Wetted materials such as stainless steel, plastics, and elastomers are often listed by different names and abbreviations in different parts of the world. This quick cross reference guide helps sort out the common names for wetted materials used in Hamilton sensors.
