ArcAir Software Connectivity Options
Hamilton ArcAir software has the ability to connect either wired or wirelessly with Arc intelligent sensors. Information about each connection method is described below.
Wireless connection with PC or laptop
Windows-based computers can communicate with Arc intelligent sensors using the Arc Wireless Bluetooth Converter. This USB style converter has two versions. Ref 243499 is a standard Bluetooth converter. Ref 242333 is a Bluetooth converter that will also upgrade ArcAir software from Basic to Advanced. Arc sensors require separate power; either from the Process Control System (PCS) or from a power supply as well as either the Wi 1G BT (Ref 243460) or Wi 2G BT (Ref 243470) Bluetooth adapters.

Wireless connection with mobile devices
Tablets and smartphones with Bluetooth connectivity and the ArcAir App can directly communicate with Arc intelligent sensors. Each Arc sensor requires power; either from the process control system (PCS) or from a power supply as well as either the Wi 1G BT (Ref 243460) or Wi 2G BT (Ref 243470) Bluetooth adapters.

Wired connection with PC
Arc sensors can be directly connected to a Windows PC running ArcAir software using the Arc USB Power Cable (Ref 243490-01 for sensors VP electrical connectors). This installation is a good choice for metrology labs who use a dedicated PC for off-line configuration and calibration purposes. A wired connection is also required for firmware updates for most Arc sensors.
