Hamilton Neuros syringes will be used for intrauterine injections into fetal brain matter to alter miRNA and lncRNA expression at embryonic day 14 in the mouse. Fetal pups are returned to the mouse dam and then are allowed to finish developing until birth. We will then assess the impact of altering specific miRs and lncRNAs which are known to regulate the glucocorticoid pathway. The ncRNAs will be directly injected into the fetal brain and this must be done in a small volume so that the fetal mice will survive the procedure. Once we have this procedure working we will train graduate students at the University of New Mexico, Neuroscience department. View Neuro Syringes Here
