Automated Aliquoting with Stopper Removal/Replacement
The Aliquot STARline workstation family fully automates source-to-target transfer of blood and other homogeneous and heterogeneous biological samples for downstream applications. In a walk-away process, screw caps or stoppers are safely removed and replaced from a variety of commercially available blood collection tubes. The samples are mixed, and the daughter samples are aliquoted into additional sample containers, whether tubes or plates.

FLEXIBILITY
The Aliquot STARline solutions come with a high degree of flexibility. Depending on the number of samples to be processed in a lab, either STARlet or STAR can be selected, and the deck layout is freely configurable. Today, 96 samples from tube-to-tube, tomorrow 192 samples from tube-to-plate. In addition, the instrument can be equipped with one, two or four cap processing and pipetting channels. A variety of tube types is easily accommodated via easy carrier and tube insert reconfiguration.
PRECISION PIPETTING
Air displacement pipetting using Hamilton tips with CO-RE (Compressed O-Ring Expansion) technology provides superior measurement accuracy, precision, and reproducibility without aerosol generation during tip pick-up and ejection. Even liquids that are difficult to pipette, such as blood, can be transferred safely and reliably.
