Hamilton offers multiple Optical Dissolved Oxygen (ODO) sensor caps depending on the application.

ODO H0 / H3 Caps

H0 Cap (Ref 243515) – Replacement cap for VisiFerm DO Arc, VisiFerm RS485, VisiPro, and VisiWater products.

H3 Cap (Ref 10068400) - Replacement cap for VisiFerm mA products.

Both H0 and H3 caps provide the fastest response time and are compatible with most fermentation and cell culture media. These caps are steam sterilizable, autoclavable, and CIP compatible. The H0 cap directly replaces our older P0 cap (Ref 242427) and is suitable for use on all VisiFerm, VisiPro, and VisiWater sensors.

Measurements not influenced by: Carbon Dioxide
Wetted parts resistant to: Ethanol
Wetted parts not resistant to: Chlorine, Ozone, and organic solvents such as Acetone and Tetrahydrofuran (THF)

ODO H2 / H4 Caps

H2 Cap (Ref 243505) – Replacement cap for VisiFerm DO Arc, VisiFerm RS485, VisiPro, and VisiWater products.

H4 Cap (Ref 10078261) - Replacement cap for VisiFerm mA products.

The H2 and H4 optical DO caps are specifically designed for increased chemical resistance. These caps are recommended for processes containing lipophilic compounds, oil-like substances, and aggressive chemicals that may attack silicone coatings. The convex tip also helps prevent bubble formation in aerated processes. both products are steam sterilizable, autoclavable and CIP compatible. The H2 cap replaces our older H1 and P1 cap (Ref 243500 and 243510) in non-abrasive applications.

Measurements not influenced by: Carbon Dioxide, lipophilic compounds
Wetted parts resistant to: Organic solvents such as Ethanol, Acetone, (THF), Heptan, Dimethylformamide
Wetted parts not resistant to: Chlorine and Ozone gases

L0 / L1 Trace ODO Cap

L0 Cap (Ref 243530) - Replacement cap for the VisiTrace mA and VisiTrace RS485

L1 Cap (Ref 10107102) - Replacement cap for the VisiTrace mA

The L0 / L1 Caps are optimized for trace measurements from 1 to 2000 PPB (µg/mL) for applications found in breweries, power plants, deaeration processes. The caps are stable against active chlorine and chlorine dioxide. These caps are only for use with trace measurements.

ODO S0/S1/S3 Single Use ODO Cap

S0 Cap (Ref 243461) - Replacement cap for the VisiFerm DO SU RS485 sensor (ref #?). Integrated within a 1” barbed SU bag port. Comes with fixation ring

S1 Cap (Reference 10077858) - Replacement cap for the VisiFerm DO SU RS485 sensor (ref #?). Integrated through an inner thread M14x1-left-handed thread for SU bioreactors

S3 Cap (Reference 10113953) - Replacement cap for the VisiFerm DO SU RS485 sensor (ref #?). Integrated within a 1” barbed SU bag port. No wetted EPDM o-ring. Designed for hose clamp fixation, no fixation ring

All S caps provide fast response times and are compatible with most single use bioreactor applications. These caps can be installed into single use bioreactors or bags and gamma irradiated prior to shipment to the end user. The VisiFerm SU DO Arc sensor is then threaded into the cap on-site.
