Hamilton Bonaduz AG announced today a collaboration with Eureka Lab Division, to provide clinical laboratories with advanced & flexible automation capabilities and clinical-grade analysis. This collaboration includes a non-exclusive joint development of expertise that will provide easy access to medium throughput testing without a decrease in data quality. Together, Hamilton and Eureka Lab Division will automate the sample pre-treatment for LC-MS analysis in the field of Clinical Diagnostics. The solution will be commercialized by Eureka Lab Division, either directly or through its distributors' network.
The IVD Microlab® STARlet™ automated workstation, equipped with proven Hamilton technologies such as CO-RE, MAD, and cLLD for pipetting accuracy, has a centrifuge integrated on-deck to automate protein precipitation onboard without the need for operator intervention. The automated workflow, combined with reliable Eureka kits, will provide advanced analytical performance, a high degree of robustness and process-safety; a must for high-quality clinical analysis.
Eureka Lab Division provides the widest range of Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry IVD kits, calibrators, and controls for clinical diagnostics & pharmacology, forensic & occupational toxicology applications on the market. Its comprehensive portfolio of products allows scientists to extend the use of industry-standard kits to areas previously covered exclusively by laboratory-developed tests.
“We are pleased to collaborate with Hamilton, a proven leader with a track record of providing best-in-class- liquid handling technology solutions, to further improve the automation of our kits”, said Stefano Sartori, Managing Director at Eureka Lab Division. “The automation of the sample pre-treatment will significantly improve clinical laboratories’ economics, productivity, and accuracy.”
