Polymer-Filled pH and ORP Sensors

WAS MACHT POLYMER-BEFÜLLTE SENSOREN ANDERS?
-
Single Pore Concept
Instead of a traditional porous diaphragm, polymer sensors use a single pore junction. This design allows 2000 larger contact area for the electrolyte and is extremely difficult to clog.
-
Polisolve (Plus) Electrolyte
Polymer electrolytes are stable and extremely viscous. This combination greatly slows ingress of process chemicals thus giving longer sensor life in difficult industrial applications.
-
Wide variety of industrial applications
The combination of polymer electrolyte and single pore junction allows these sensors to be used in applications from potable water to strong chemicals. No other sensor design provides this versatility.

What is the expected lifetime of my pH sensor?
Expected pH sensor lifetime is dependent on the application. Exposure to strong chemicals, elevated temperature, fluctuating pressure, and solid build-up can all impact the sensor life. As the sensor ages, a sluggish response may become more apparent, and will require more frequent calibrations to compensate for this change. The overall health of the Arc pH sensors can be seen using the quality indicator in ArcAir software. Click to learn more about sensor lifespan and expiration in the Knowledgebase article. -
What solution should I store my pH or ORP probe in?
Hamilton recommends storing pH and ORP probes wet in either Hamilton Storage Solution (Ref 238931) or in 3M KCl solution. Click to see the pH/ ORP Sensor Storage and Regeneration Knowledgebase for more information. -
How do I clean an ORP sensor?
The platinum band around the tip of the ORP sensor can oxidize over time. Light scrubbing with a mild abrasive such as toothpaste will remove the oxidization. Rinse with potable water and store in storage solution prior to usage
