What is the expected lifetime and when should I replace my ODO cap?
ODO cap health is process specific, with a cap quality indicator in ArcAir representing the general health of the ODO cap. ODO cap quality replacement is advised at 35%, however, some customers may replace ODO caps as part of a preventative maintenance program before reaching 35%. Click to learn more. -
How should I store my optical dissolved oxygen sensor?
Optical DO sensors should be stored in a clean, dry environment prior to use. Avoid prolonged exposure of the inside cap to ambient light to minimize photodecomposition of the luminophore. -
Does my optical DO sensor require calibration prior to usage?
All Hamilton optical dissolved oxygen sensors come with factory calibration; however, for best accuracy, it is recommended that calibration is performed prior to use. The factory calibration does not account for variations in atmospheric pressure or humidity which are often different based on location.
