The standard Dilution Wizard allows for the use of the Disposable Tip Hand Probe (DTHP) with standard aqueous solutions. However, viscous and volatile liquids can be difficult to pipette using air displacement. This wizard allows for viscous samples like blood or oil to be reverse pipetted which considerably improves accuracy and precision. To further dial in the accuracy if necessary a correction factor can be applied to the pipetted volume.
For this wizard the diluent is drawn in from the reservoir and the sample is aspirated into the disposable ClickSure Tip which has been attached to the DTHP. Next, the sample is dispensed, then the tip is disposed and finally the diluent is dispensed to complete the dilution into the destination vessel where the solutions are mixed together.
