Direct Business Model Further Strengthens Customer Focus and Enhances Value

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Reno, Nev. (May 11, 2020) – Hamilton Company announces today that its process analytics (sensors) unit is transitioning to a direct sales model throughout most of the U.S. and Canada. The changeover from the existing third-party sales channel is currently underway and will conclude effective June 30, 2020.

The transition covers all the major biotech hubs in the United States, including Boston/Cambridge, Raleigh-Durham, and the San Francisco Bay area. The third-party sales channel will only remain for the Intermountain West (Utah, Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico, and Oklahoma) and the nationwide brewery industry.

The biggest impact of the change is that customers will benefit from access to an integrated team of dedicated sales, application, and technical support specialists. Support for product selection and pricing quotes will come directly from the Hamilton team, while the remainder of the purchase order process will remain the same. Existing customers have always worked directly with Hamilton regarding purchase orders, invoices, receipts, and shipments. That means those companies will not need to onboard or re-certify Hamilton as a supplier in their systems.

As part of the transition, Hamilton acquired the sales team from MopHius Analytics, a manufacturing representative firm based out of Illinois. As of May 1, 2020, all MopHius employees are now Hamilton employees and will no longer sell under the MopHius name.

In addition, Hamilton Process Analytics expanded its core team based in Reno, Nev. This included additional applications specialists, technical support reps, and inside sales specialists.

“The shift to a direct sales approach makes sense for us as a growth strategy, and just as importantly, it provides more value for our customers,” said John Gleeson, Regional Sales Director for the Eastern U.S. “We look forward to forging closer relationships with our process analytics customers and fully engaging with them on solutions that propel their innovations forward.”

Hamilton’s process analytics sensors measure the four most critical and routinely measured parameters in process applications: pH and oxidation reduction potential (ORP), dissolved oxygen (DO), cell density (viable and total), and conductivity. A variety of measuring technologies and probe types are available for each parameter. In addition to Hamilton’s widely-used reusable sensor probes, Hamilton also offers pre-calibrated, single-use sensors that are directly integrated into single-use vessels.
