Hamilton offers two different plunger support devices. The Syringe Guide has two metal guide rods that preserve plunger alignment and prevent plunger bending. The Chaney Adapter uses three metal guide rods. The third rod has an adjustable stop that facilitates repeatable placement of the plunger. For the 800, 900, and 1800 series syringes that already have a supported plungers the Chaney Adapter improves plunger placement.

Chaney Adapter

The Chaney Adapter assures repetitive and identical syringe plunger location. It eliminates subjective errors when setting a syringe plunger at a specific volume. A small set screw on one of the guide arms can be adjusted to provide a consistent fill volume for every dispense.

Built-In Chaney Adapter

The Built-in Chaney adapter comes with a syringe installed from the factory. This eliminates the assembly step which can lead to damage of the smaller volume syringes. This is especially critical for 7000 series syringes which have extremely small plunger wires.

Syringe Guide

The Syringe Guide is a cost effective plunger support device. It is compatible with the 700, 1700 and 7000 series syringes. With only two guide arms the Syringe Guide protects the plunger from damage but should not be used to improve accuracy and precision.
