Dual Syringe Liquid Handler Specialty Valve

The Dual Syringe Liquid Handler is capable of using all standard ML500 valves but has the added ability to use 3-way, 4-way, and 8-way distribution valves as well as a 4-way loop valve and a dummy valve. To accommodate some of these unique flow configurations a ceramic face seal valve design was utilized. In addition to the unique fluid paths the ceramic valves require less rotational force and are more resistant to damage from high concentration salt solutions.

Valves for CHEM Syringes
These valves are not standard for the ML500. They do not have a luer leg where the syringe attaches. Instead they have a ¼-28 threaded port. This type of valve is compatible with the CHEM style syringes that also have a ¼-28 threaded port. If you are considering using one of these valves it is recommended that you contact a Hamilton representative to confirm compatibility with the application.

Valves for TLL Syringes
The standard ML500 valve has M6 threaded ports and at most one input and one output. These specialty valves are designed to use �-28 threaded tubes and come in distribution options of 2, 3, 4, and 8 ports. The 3, 4, and 8 port valves are made with a ceramic fluid path instead of the standard PTFE valve plug. The ceramic offers superior performance when used with salt solutions that are likely to crystalize and cause leaks.
