At the heart of a MICROLAB 500 instrument is the Hamilton GASTIGHT syringe. The precision glass barrel and finely machined polymer components result in unmatched precision and accuracy. Additionally the chemically inert materials allow the ML500 to be used in harsh environments not possible with other dispensing devices.
The SaltLine syringes are utilized in applications with high salt concentrations. They have the same PTFE Luer Lock termination but the plunger tip is made from Ultra High Molecular Weight Poly Ethylene (UHMWPE). The UHMWPE plunger tip resists damage that can be caused when salt crystal precipitate from the salt solution over time.
These syringes are only used on the Dual Syringe Diluter pumps. The Sample Syringe has a Diluter Termination (DX) and a PTFE tipped plunger. The syringe was specifically designed for the right side of a diluter to minimize the dead volume and simplify priming. DX syringes are available from 25 µL to 1 mL. Dead volume is not an issue above 1 mL so for sample volumes above 1 mL a TLL syringe is suitable.
The LASI Syringe Assembly is designed for accurate low volume dispenses of expensive liquids. The backfill plunger design enables full recovery of sample from the syringe. The assembly incorporates a Hamilton 25 µL GASTIGHT syringe with a hollow plunger and valve assembly to eliminate sample waste.
Standard Reagent Syringes
These syringes are the most commonly used ML500 syringe. They have a PTFE Luer Lock (TTL or TTLX) termination and a PTFE tipped plunger.
Salt Line Reagent Syringes
