Hamilton Microlab 600 Diluter

Traditional air displacement pipettes are susceptible to variations in atmospheric pressure, viscosity, vapor pressure, etc. Class A glassware is labor intensive and wasteful. The Microlab 600 is the answer to these problems.

Positive Displacement vs. Air Displacement

The Microlab 600 is completely primed with liquid, making it a positive displacement system. The liquid is not compressible, so each time the syringe aspirates or dispenses, the liquid is accurately measured. Air displacement systems trap compressible air in the fluid path. When liquid is moved this air is compressed, causing results that vary with atmospheric conditions, sample viscosity and the operator's technique.

The Microlab 600 vs. Class A Glassware

In comparison with volumetric glassware, the Microlab 600 provides extraordinary cost savings and sample preparation time reductions. Its accuracy tolerances far exceed those of volumetric flasks, graduated cylinders, measuring pipettes and burettes. The precision of the Microlab 600 meets or exceeds that of Class A glassware, especially when operator imprecision is considered.

How Does it Work?

The Microlab 600's Dual Syringe Diluter configuration uses two syringes to create up to a 1:50,000 dilutions in a single step, drastically reducing preparation time and waster buffer.  The diluent washes the tubing between each sample, minimizing carryover. 

Microlab 600 Dual Syringe Diluter is available with a Basic or Advanced Controller.  The    "–DIL" model ships complete with the Concorde Hand Probe, Universal Valves, Fill/Dispense Tubing, Accessory Holder, country specific Power Cord and the choice of two syringes. The desired syringe sizes can be selected at the time of order, if no syringes are selected a 2.5 mL and 250 µL syringe will be included automatically.
