| Pipette Safe™ Tip Cone Filters |
 |
The tip cones of select SofTouch electronic pipettes allow the use of a removable Pipette Safe tip cone filter. This innovative safety feature prevents cross contamination of sample fluids or vapors, particularly when pipetting radioactive or biohazardous samples. Pipette Safe Plus tip cone filters seal when wetted for even greater protection.
In order to properly protect the internal mechanism of the pipette, filters need to be changed regularly depending on the application. A general guideline is to change the filter daily (50-250 pipettings) and always in case of over-aspiration. The filter does not affect the calibration of the pipette.
